Building the Tallest Portable Ferris Wheel in North America
Might As Well Get A Picture While You're Up There
My wink and a nod to the great eclipse of 8/21/17.
In the words of newsman Brian Williams "Everyone was just a person with something in common in that moment." #mnstatefair
The Brightest Bulb
This year, every bulb got replaced with brighter LED bulbs at the Super Dog Foot Long Stand. "I love lights," says owner Gary. "You should see my house at Christmas time. In Florida."
"Out with the old, in with the new," says owner Gary. "Hand me a red. And a blue."
I think I'll accept his invitation to see the bright lights of Florida. It's BYOB - Bring Your Own Bulb.
Lost and Found In Yesterday's Rain
After the rain came the raising of the seasonal flag
Butch, of York, PA, said, "You know how many basketballs I blew up last year? 12,500!"
"And that's only basketballs," he added. "There's all these other balls. Probably 40 thousand I've blown up."
"And I've been doing it for 40 years."
He goes to the Texas State Fair next.
11 Hours Until Opening

With a sweet little mere slip of a moon.
Everyone just stares at it and basks in its ever-changing light show.
Small and Mighty
"Will Wonders Never Cease"
The "Miracle of Birth" Barn is open to the expecting four-leggeds 24 hours a day. But the best time to see it for the two-leggeds is in the cool evenings. No lines, just litters.
5 Hour Old Calf
He could stand and walk within an hour. I, on the other hand, took my time.
Non-Stop Piglet Petting
Never is the human desire to pet animals more evident than at a Fair.
